Position: Marketing Operations Analyst (Co-op)

Term: 4 months (with the opportunity for an extension)

Start date: Summer Term, May 1st, 2019 


Lumerical is a leading developer of photonic simulation software – software which enables research and development professionals to predict how light behaves within complex structures, circuits, and systems.  Photonics unlocks many possibilities for the world’s most innovative companies who increasingly rely on virtual prototyping to explore new product concepts and optimize designs. Our customers are developing the technology of tomorrow – things like LiDAR systems for autonomous cars, virtual reality headsets, cellphone cameras, communications equipment for data centers and new platforms for quantum computing. 

Lumerical is seeking a Co-op Student to work with the Marketing team and contribute to evolving and improving our marketing operations and productivity. As a Marketing Operations Analyst, you will work closely with the Marketing and Customer Success team to coordinate our google analytics, in order to attune our website for lead conversion, setting up key features and analytics


The successful candidate works both independently and within a highly-integrated team to: 

  • Maintain and implement reports around Google and Website Analytics;
  • Map outcomes and track conversions for marketing and sales qualified leads;
  • Conduct A/B testing on website to track effectiveness on select pages and videos;
  • Help with search engine optimization; and
  • Analyze and improve social media campaigns. 

Minimum Qualifications 

The successful applicant is enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Marketing, and will possess all or most of the following qualifications and experience: 

  • CMS experience (preferably WordPress);
  • Google Analytics background (certification preferred);
  • Search Engine Optimization Knowledge;
  • Lead Management Process and Sales Funnel experience;
  • Social Media Knowledge on tracking Analytics; and
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous experience in a B2B marketing environment;
  • Interest in Science & Technology;
  • Familiarity with Marketing Automation Tools; and
  • Interest in Data Analytics.
